AR availability ?

I do not have one but am shocked by what I'm seeing.

There are none. No AKs or SKSs or ARs. I saw a man pay $1900 for a Colt AR15 about 3 weeks ago.

I asked at a local Shop how long to get one, I was told 6-7 months.

WOW

Something is freeking out the people.

I think the anti gun people are going to be in for a big surprise when they try to pass some AWB.

Good selection at the Puyallup WAC gun show here in WA last week -- RRA, Stag, Olympic Arms, Bushmaster, etc. One Colt AR-15 (LE6920) for $1650, though that's $250 more than at the sister Monroe show the week before.

Re: AR availability ?

Yes it's crazy and not just ARs.

I wonder what people are going to do with all these guns, seriously? So many are speculating, it ticks me off.

I guess either we'll have the ban in which case this is the last chance to buy them.

Or

We will get a year or so into the Obama administration, all the laws will fail to pass and the guns will become available again and go down in price.

Son in Law just picked up a nice Colt AR15 for $900 on a private sale. Got it from his boss. I was looking at it yesterday. Like new. Came with hardcase and manual. A steal.

Yeah, I periodically check their site to see what their lead time is. It's normally 2-3 days. That's about how long it took to get mine last winter. a couple weeks ago it was 8-12 weeks. I checked last night and it's now at 20-25 weeks lead time on all rifles. What ever you do, don't cancel your order. You may as well stick it out. I'm still awaiting an upper from Alexander Arms. No way in hell I'm going to give up my spot in line.

Good advice. A couple days after the "election," I noticed a couple of sites hadn't jacked their prices up like everyone else. So I ordered a complete kit from Model 1 Sales, and a couple of uppers and a complete kit from Stag. Got shipping notification today from both places.

Sounds plausible. I waited about 12 weeks over the summer of 07 for my RRA Entry Tactical. My dealer said they were having a problem getting barrels.

I definitely think their is a huge rise in firearm sales, however the conspiracy theorist side of me thinks the Feds are buying a ton themselves in order to keep them from We The People.

To me that Noveske/Magpul rifle seems like a real ripoff. Just buy a Noveske and then buy some $14.99 Pmags.

Re: AR availability ?

One ounce of gold will buy you 4 Ruger 10/22.....and that is what I'm going to do .....just buy them and rat hole them away. I have kids and I want them to have one some day.

I just ordered $3000 in 22LR ammo...and $2000 in primers (over 100,000 primers)....all directly from the distributor at cost......only 6% state sales tax......I have a friend that orders for our regional pistol shooting clubs and charges zero profit....this is all at cost....

I already have my position in several tons of brass/bullets/powder. When i become unemployed (probably soon in the automotive industry...)....I'm going back into commercial reloading. I have about $8,000 in reloading and casting equipment that I've picked up over the years to support my competitive shooting.

Anyone interested in custom ammo at about 60% the cost of factory ammo?

Agreed, but people will pay it. Lots of reports of stock Colt 6920's being sold for $2000. You add up the magpul stock, pistol grip, troy flip up sights, rail, etc. and you got a lot of goodies on that rifle.

While we wouldn't pay that much, it may be the new reality on prices for an unknown amount of time.

As far as just buying a Noveske, they are not taking any orders and may not for months due to parts suppliers not having anything:

You can order Superior Arms AR-15 from their website for $900. The one I owned was solid as heck. Wish I still had it. They just raised their price from $850 last week.

Same with CMMG they make a great rifle.
The F1605 is very nice.

Also if you buy the lower & upper separate you save a bunch too.

J Wise who did a nice article here has a lot of praise for CMMG

I know of a local shop with a new Del-Ton CAR-15 flat top on the shelf for $730. I thought about picking it up just because the shelves were so bare I didn't think it would last long. However, it isn't one of my calibers.

Wow! This is sort of like trading futures. You see the opening gap from a stable price and it is time to get on board. The sad thing is that these people who would take rights from people will stop at nothing to get their way. Civil war could be on the way.

The prices are astounding, but I can't say they are overpriced if there are bids and asks that meet voluntarily. 2k for a colt 6920, or 3k for a Noveske/Magpul sounds crazy to me, but that's because I already have AR15's in the safe.

Those fifty $3k Magpul/Noveske's sold in 1 day. No way the price was too high if there were so many voluntary buyers at that price.

Amazing how liquid guns are compared to say houses.

I went to the Michigan Cabela's last week....I glanced at the gun selection while I was looking at the hunting equipment - they had a few ARs behind the counter, but I didn't look at the price.

That is a lot of .22. Do you want your childrens kids to have .22 to shoot? I would recommend telling you kids to not have kids and then buy a pistol. That is just me. Hell I won't have kids now until freedom starts taking the forefront of issues.

Re: AR availability ?

From what I have seen on various gun boards around the web anywhere from a real low 2000.00 to a high of 3500.00

To anyone who is looking for a receiver I spotted a pair of Sun Devil Billet AR 15 lowers for 200.00 each and LPK's for 100.00 each.

PM if you want the guys contact info he is an FFL in AZ.

I have nothing to do with this deal I just spotted them tried to set up a local guy to get him a deal and he flaked on it.

Don't know how long they will last or even if they are still available but will call him in the AM if anyone wants a good deal on a AR Lower.

I found this deal. S&W MP-15 stripped lower for $169.99 here
Attachment 59586

I called and they confirmed availability of one as of last Thursday. They said it could be reserved with a CC until you show in person or arrange transfer.

I thought I wanted it, considering these are going for $200-$250 on GB, but I'm going to put a CMMG lower on backorder I think. No sense in hoarding this info to myself if someone else wants it.

CCI 22LR Standard Velocity Target Pistol is now well over $25/brick of 500. This is the most accurate and reliable 22 target ammo at a reasonable price (...sure you could buy Eley Tex-X for $10 a box of 50....but it is not that much better....). I remember not too long ago, 22LR promotional ammo was $10 a brick...those days are long gone.

I wish I had bought $5000 in 22LR...but i have toi be reasonable where I spread the funds.....

I'm telling everyone...you better get you stuff RIGHT NOW....primers in large quantity are getting hard to get.....it has taken a few months to put my order together. I think I'm going to buy abother $2000 in primers....

Re: AR availability ?

I called one of the largest dealers of AR's and AK's
to check on a order.
Got to talk to the head honcho he said they are very behind
but he said in 2 weeks they will be back to the pre obama norm
since they have been in business for over 20 I will take his word.

between people jumping on the wagon for arms and people running out of money you knew this was not going to last.

I do still think the run on ammo will be longer due to everyone with new arms will be stocking up.
